A feature-length documentary (75 minutes long) about the struggle in Salem, Oregon to legalize backyard chickens. Both educational and entertaining, this movie will inspire you to take on City Hall. A great way to jump-start your own chicken revolution! Gather friends, make some popcorn, watch this movie together and strategize. It contains actual clips of city hall debates on the issue, interviews with people who raise chickens (both legally and illegally), and a hilarious rap video that pokes fun at those who actually suggested chicken coops would lead to meth labs! This movie won the 2010 Mid-Valley Film Festival Award and has been credited for turning hard-core opponents into supporters, including members of our city council and planning commission. As a direct result of this movie, we eventually got our chicken-keeping ordinance on January 1, 2011. This film will help you prepare for potential obstacles, streamline the process for you, and educate those who are unfamiliar with the concept of backyard chicken-keeping. It turned things around for us and it could do the same for you!

Our shirts are made of 100% cotton, 6.1 oz, top-quality, tagless, Hanes T-shirts. They come with short sleeves ($14) or long sleeves ($18). Machine washable, pre-shrunk, and very comfortable. Features ‘Che Chicken’ on the front with “Chickens are Revolting” on top and “Viva la Chicken Revolution” on the bottom. Available sizes are currently limited to Large for short sleeved and Large or Extra Large for long sleeved.
